چکیده
Traumatic or carious exposure of a vital pulp in an immature permanent tooth presents a significant clinical challenge to maintain proper vitality. Currently available procedures include direct pulp capping, complete pulpotomy and partial pulpotomy. This paper reviews the application of partial pulpotomy in immature permanent teeth and provides prognostic and technique guidance.

Induction of Maturogenesis by Partial Pulpotomy: 1 Year Follow-Up
In cariously exposed immature permanent teeth, the treatment choice is controversial in pediatric dentistry. Radical root canal treatment usually appears to be the solution for these teeth. Even partial pulpotomy is a vital treatment for traumatically exposed immature permanent teeth; extending the borders of indication towards cariously exposed immature permanent teeth with reversible pulpitis...
متن کاملMineral trioxide aggregate as a pulpotomy agent in immature teeth: Long-term case report
This case report aimed to present the long-term clinical performance of mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) pulpotomies in immature permanent teeth. Four patients with complicated crown fractures of five maxillary immature central incisor teeth were treated with pulpotomy using gray MTA. An immature mandibular first molar showing signs of reversible pulpitis that was exposed mechanically during ca...

PURPOSE The purpose of this study was to compare mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) with calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)2) clinically and radiographically as a pulpotomy agent in immature permanent teeth (apexogenesis). METHODS Fifteen children, each with at least 2 immature permanent teeth requiring pulpotomy (apexogenesis), were selected for this study. All selected teeth were evenly divided into 2...
متن کاملPartial pulpotomy as a treatment alternative for exposed pulps in crown-fractured permanent incisors.
Sixty-three vital permanent incisors with complicated crown fractures were treated by partial pulpotomy and assessed clinically and radiographically for healing. Healing of the pulp was considered to have taken place when the following criteria were fulfilled: absence of clinical symptoms, radiographic evidence of dentin bridge formation, no intrapulpal or periapical pathosis, continued root de...
متن کاملPartial Pulpotomy of Immature Teeth with Apical Periodontitis using Bioceramics and Mineral Trioxide Aggregate: A Report of Three Cases.
Pulpal necrosis of an immature permanent tooth with an open apex poses a challenge for the clinician. The conventional apexification technique using calcium hydroxide has yielded short-term success, but this technique has inevitable shortcomings. Hence, this case series aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of using bioceramics (iRoot BP) or mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) for partial pulpotomie...
