Investigating Correlation Properties of Hodgkin- Huxley Model with Leaky Integrate–and-Fire Model

چکیده
Behavioral study of linear model i.e. Integrate and fire model is compared with non-linear model i.e. Hodgkin-Huxley model. Both the models output are affected by Poisson inputs that are correlated positively. Responses of Integrate and fire model and Hodgkin-Huxley models differ in terms of correlated inputs. Linear Integrate and fire model is better for correlated inputs. Non-Linear model displays beneficial qualities of both Hodgkin-Huxley and linear Integrate and fire models. In integrate and fire model, neurons fire faster and more irregularly when the soma is smaller. In Hodgkin-Huxley model, neurons fire faster with increase in the strength of inhibitory inputs. The effect of inhibitory inputs is considered on both the models.

Memristor Bridge Synapse Application for Integrate and Fire and Hodgkin-Huxley Neuron Cell
Memory resistor or memristor is already fabricated successfully using current nano dimension technology. Based on its unique hysteresis, the amount of resistance remains constant over time, controlled by the time, the amplitude, and the polarity of the applied voltage. The unique hysteretic current-voltage characteristic in the memristor causes this element to act as a non-volatile resistive me...

This study introduces a new Generalized Leaky Integrate-and-Fire (GLIF) neuron model with variable leaking resistor and bias current in order to reproduce accurately the membrane voltage dynamics of a biological neuron. The accuracy of this model is ensured by adjusting its parameters to the statistical properties of the Hodgkin-Huxley model outputs; while the speed is enhanced by introducing a...
متن کاملBehavior of integrate-and-fire and Hodgkin-Huxley models with correlated inputs.
We assess, both numerically and theoretically, how positively correlated Poisson inputs affect the output of the integrate-and-fire and Hodgkin-Huxley models. For the integrate-and-fire model the variability of efferent spike trains is an increasing function of input correlation, and of the ratio between inhibitory and excitatory inputs. Interestingly for the Hodgkin-Huxley model the variabilit...

A b s t r a c t . We examine the effects of degree of balance between inhibitory and excitatory random synaptic inputs, and of positive correlation between the inputs on the mean and variability of the output of the classical Hodgkin-Huxley (HH) model for squid giant axon, using computer simulation. The mean interspike interval (ISI) and the coefficient of variation of ISI change little as the ...

In this paper, α and β parameters and gating variables equations of Hodgkin-Huxley neuron cell have been studied. Gating variables show opening and closing rate of ion flow of calcium and potassium in neuron cell. Variable functions α and β, are exponential functions in terms of u potential that have been obtained by Hodgkin and Huxley experimentally to adjust the equations of neural cells. In ...
