Two new constraints for the cumulant matrix.

چکیده
We suggest new strict constraints that the two-particle cumulant matrix should fulfill. The constraints are obtained from the decomposition of ⟨Ŝ(2)⟩, previously developed in our laboratory, and the vanishing number of electrons shared by two non-interacting fragments. The conditions impose stringent constraints into the cumulant structure without any need to perform an orbital optimization procedure thus carrying very small or no computational effort. These constraints are tested on the series of Piris natural orbital functionals (PNOF), which are among the most accurate ones available in the literature. Interestingly, even though all PNOF cumulants ensure correct overall ⟨Ŝ(2)⟩ values, none of them is consistent with the local spin structure of systems that dissociate more than one pair of electrons. A careful analysis of the local spin components reveals the most important missing contributions in the cumulant expression thus suggesting a means to improve PNOF5. The constraints provide an inexpensive tool for the construction and testing of cumulant structures that complement previously known conditions such as the N-representability or the square of the total spin angular momentum, ⟨Ŝ(2)⟩.

Using an Efficient Penalty Method for Solving Linear Least Square Problem with Nonlinear Constraints
In this paper, we use a penalty method for solving the linear least squares problem with nonlinear constraints. In each iteration of penalty methods for solving the problem, the calculation of projected Hessian matrix is required. Given that the objective function is linear least squares, projected Hessian matrix of the penalty function consists of two parts that the exact amount of a part of i...
متن کاملLinear plus fractional multiobjective programming problem with homogeneous constraints using fuzzy approach
We develop an algorithm for the solution of multiobjective linear plus fractional programming problem (MOL+FPP) when some of the constraints are homogeneous in nature. Using homogeneous constraints, first we construct a transformation matrix T which transforms the given problem into another MOL+FPP with fewer constraints. Then, a relationship between these two problems, ensuring that the solu...

Determination of particle size is one of the major needs in the industry and biotechnology. Dynamic light scattering (DLS) is a widely used technique for determining size distribution of spherical particle in nanometer and submicron size range. In this method, there are different algorithms for determining the size and size distribution of particles, which are selected according to the required...

Unmixing of remote-sensing data using nonnegative matrix factorization has been considered recently. To improve performance, additional constraints are added to the cost function. The main challenge is to introduce constraints that lead to better results for unmixing. Correlation between bands of Hyperspectral images is the problem that is paid less attention to it in the unmixing algorithms. I...

In this paper we consider blind source separation (BSS) problem of signals which are spatially uncorrelated of order four, but temporally correlated of order four (for instance speech or biomedical signals). For such type of signals we propose a new sufficient condition for separation using fourth order statistics, stating that the separation is possible, if the source signals have distinct nor...
