Quality of Head-Related Transfer Functions - Some Practical Remarks
نویسنده
چکیده
This paper starts with a short summary about previous work done in the field of head-related transfer function (HRTF) measurement and processing. Afterwards a new method to find and optimize HRTFs is explained. The main idea is to use expert listeners to select and tune the HRTFs with the help of real-time interaction adjustment of all parameters under test. Afterwards a listening test validates the previous results. Additionally several practical remarks regarding HRTF measurement and available HRTF sets are given. A possible scheme for the post processing is presented.

SOME REMARKS ON WEAKLY INVERTIBLE FUNCTIONS IN THE UNIT BALL AND POLYDISK
We will present an approach to deal with a problem of existence of (not) weakly invertible functions in various spaces of analytic functions in the unit ball and polydisk based on estimates for integral operators acting between functional classes of different dimensions.

In this paper, using the contexts of C-class functions and common limitrange property, common fixed point result for some operator are obtained. Our results generalize several results in the existing literature. Some examplesare given to illustrate the usability of our approach.

This paper describes novel methods for evoking a multichannel audio experience over stereo headphones. In contrast to the conventional convolution-based approach where, for example, five input channels are filtered using ten head-related transfer functions, the current approach is based on a parametric representation of the multichannel signal, along with either a parametric representation of t...
متن کاملSpatial Frequency Response Surfaces (sfrs’s): an Alternative Visualization and Interpolation Technique for Head-related Transfer Functions (hrtf’s)
This paper introduces Spatial Frequency Response Surfaces (SFRS’s), an alternative, spatial-domain visualization tool for head-related transfer functions (HRTF’s). Qualitative analysis of SFRS’s is easier than direct comparison of HRTF magnitude responses, and reveals many cross-subject similarities in HRTF data corresponding to well-known HRTFrelated psychophysical phenomena. We present an SFR...
متن کاملInterpolation of Head Related Transfer Functions Considering Acoustics
We are proposing an interpolation technique for head related transfer functions (HRTFs). For deriving the algorithm we study the dual problem where sound is emitted from the listener’s ear and the generated sound field is recorded along a circular array of microphones around the listener. The proposed interpolation algorithm is based on the observation that spatial bandwidth of the measured sou...
