چکیده

The emergence of service oriented computing brought major research challenges in the process of discovery and selection of web services. Key to success in obtaining the best fitting web service out of a multitude of alternatives is finding the service that both satisfies the requester's functional needs and non-functional requirements. Clients should also be able to indicate how to make trade-o s when some of thir requirements cannot be met. The ability to capture trade-o preferences is critical for selecting the best fitting web service. In this paper, we address the problem of expressing the requester’s preferences in a semantic context. We analyze the existing QoS ontologies and choose to extend the OWL-Q ontology to capture trade-o preferences expressed using QoSPref, our own conditional lexicographic approach for QoS preference specification. We extend the QoSSpec specification facet of OWL-Q by adding a new class QoSSelectionWithTradeoffs, that offers the possibility of describing the list of preferences and trade-offs similar to our QoSPref notation, thus offering the possibility of using our algorithm for ranking web service alternatives. © 2014 The Authors. Semantic Constraint and QoS-Aware Large-Scale Web Service Composition

Service-oriented architecture facilitates the running time of interactions by using business integration on the networks. Currently, web services are considered as the best option to provide Internet services. Due to an increasing number of Web users and the complexity of users’ queries, simple and atomic services are not able to meet the needs of users; and to provide complex services, it requ...

A procedure for Web Service Selection Using WS-Policy Semantic Matching

In general, Policy-based approaches play an important role in the management of web services, for instance, in the choice of semantic web service and quality of services (QoS) in particular. The present research work illustrates a procedure for the web service selection among functionality similar web services based on WS-Policy semantic matching. In this study, the procedure of WS-Policy publi...

Semantic Discovery and Selection: A QoS-Aware, Hybrid Model

Most Semantic Web Services discovery approaches are based on Description Logics, allowing a limited expressiveness when describing Quality-of-Service preferences. Furthermore, DLs is not suited to perform selection tasks, because these are modeled as optimization problems. In this work, we present a hybrid discovery and selection model for Semantic Web Services that takes care of QOS preference...

Appraisal and Analysis on Diversified Web Service Selection Techniques based on QoS Factors

Numerous monumental changes have been made in the existing web service selection to provide quality of services. The quality of service is a major bottle neck in the recent development. Hitherto various QoS based Web Service Selection Techniques exist. But these techniques lacks in functional and non-functional attributes. This paper consists with the following tasks; segregate various QoS base...

Web service selection based on ranking of qos using associative classification

With the explosive growth of the number of services published over the Internet, it is difficult to select satisfactory web services among the candidate web services which provide similar functionalities. Quality of Service (QoS) is considered as the most important non-functional criterion for service selection. But this criterion is no longer considered as the only criterion to rank web servic...
