EEG and Behavior

چکیده
There is an attempt to demonstrate that the death "instinct" is a central theme in Freud's life and work, a thesis which is well supported and probably much less disputed than the author implies because Freud himself did not address himself to this in his published writings until 1923, although he had discussed it years earlier. This and other quite plausible interpretations of Freud's thoughts and motivations are stimulating but do not justify the subtitle "A New Appraisal." STEPHEN FLECK

Neural Localization of Brand Social Responsibility Using EEG
Introduction: The purpose of this study was to investigate the neural effects of brand social responsibility (BSR) on consumer behavior. In the version of third marketing, consideration of the human spirit and its responsibility as a competitive strategy has been proposed. Materials and Methods: The investigation method was an exploratory-laboratory. Electrocardiographic instruments were used t...
متن کاملEEG spectral power alternation & learning disability in rats exposure to lead through prenatal developing age
Introduction: Lead intoxication in children has been associated with neurodevelopment disabilities that may result in motor and cognitive impairment. The aim of the present study is to evaluate in long term effects of prenatal exposure to low-level Pb2+ on learning, memory and EEG. Materials & Methods: Rat pregnant were exposed to distilled water or 0.05, 0.1, 0.2 % of Pb-acetate in the dr...
متن کاملارائه یک روش برچسب گذاری سیگنالهای مغزی بهمنظور طبقهبندی حالتهای مختلف بیهوشی
Aims and background: This study develops a computational framework for the classification of different anesthesia states, including awake, moderate anesthesia, and general anesthesia, using electroencephalography (EEG) signals and peripheral parameters. Materials and Methods: The proposed method proposes ...
متن کاملExploring miniaturized EEG electrodes for brain-computer interfaces. An EEG you do not see?
Electroencephalography (EEG) allows the study of the brain-behavior relationship in humans. Most of what we have learned with EEG was through observing the brain-behavior relationship under well-controlled laboratory conditions. However, by reducing "normal" behavior to a minimum the ecological validity of the results can be limited. Recent developments toward mobile EEG solutions allow to stud...
متن کاملAlteration of behavior in mice by muscimol is associated with regional electroencephalogram synchronization.
We tested the hypothesis that the effects of GABAergic agonists on behavior and the electroencephalogram (EEG) result from an increased regional synchronization in cortical circuits. The relationship between regional EEG topography, EEG synchronization and alteration of behavior was investigated by administering male C57BL/6 mice (n=7) a high, 3 mg/kg i.p. dose of muscimol, a selective GABA(A) ...
متن کاملNewborn EEG Seizure Detection Based on Interspike Space Distribution in the Time-Frequency Domain
This paper presents a new time-frequency based EEG seizure detection method. This method uses the distribution of interspike intervals as a criterion for discriminating between seizure and nonseizure activities. To detect spikes in the EEG, the signal is mapped into the time-frequency domain. The high instantaneous energy of spikes is reflected as a localized energy in time-frequency domain. Hi...
