Editors’ Note: Commenting on “The magnetic apraxia of Denny-Brown,” Dr. Hassan points out that magnetic apraxia is related to frontal lobe lesion and not parietal lobe dysfunction as suggested in the text. Dr. Peluso, author of the Video NeuroImage, acknowledges the mistake and a correction appears on page 1483. In response to “Mechanisms of memory impairment in epilepsy depend on age at disease onset,” Dr. Heilman suggests that medications taken at an early age may have caused impaired autobiographic memory and that future studies should consider the influence of state-dependent memory in patients with early-onset epilepsy. Rayner et al., authors of the study, agree with the concept of state-dependent retrieval dysfunction related to medications, but explain that their study was able to reject the effect of current pharmacotherapy intensity and that no medication seemed particularly linked to poor autobiographic memory. —Chafic Karam, MD, and Robert C.
