The Health Officer of Calcutta, Dr. J. Neild Cook, has submitted a very interesting and valuable report on the terrible infantile mortality in Calcutta, which is deserving the attention of medical men and the general public in other parts of India also. It is well known to all Civil Surgeons that the infantile mortal it}' in India is far and away in excess of what it should be, and Dr. Cook gives a table which shows this in a very startling manner, viz:?

Desmoplastic infantile gangliogliomas (DIGG) are low-grade (WHO Grade I) tumors of early childhood rarely occurring in older children and young adults. The mainstay of treatment is surgical. We report two older children with DIGG, both showing atypical radiology. One case was treated with radiation. The recurrence treated with only surgical excision showed excellent response to treatment.
