چکیده

It is possible to derive the maximum entropy principle from thermodynamic stability requirements. Using as a starting point the equilibrium probability distribution, currently used in non-extensive thermostatistics, it turns out that the relevant entropy function is Rényi’s α-entropy, and not Tsallis’ entropy.

Generalized thermostatistics and Kolmogorov-Nagumo averages

We introduce a generalized thermostatistics based on Kolmogorov-Nagumo averages and appropriately selected information measures. The formalism includes Tsallis non-extensive thermostatistics, but also extensive thermostatistics based on Rényi entropy. The Curie-Weiss model is discussed as an example.

Thermostatistics based on Kolmogorov–Nagumo averages: unifying framework for extensive and nonextensive generalizations

We show that extensive thermostatistics based on Rényi entropy and Kolmogorov–Nagumo averages can be expressed in terms of Tsallis nonextensive thermostatistics. We use this correspondence to generalize thermostatistics to a large class of Kolmogorov–Nagumo means and suitably adapted definitions of entropy. As an application, we reanalyze linguistic data discussed in a paper by Montemurro.  20...

Gravothermal Catastrophe and Tsallis’ Generalized Entropy of Self-Gravitating Systems II. Thermodynamic properties of stellar polytrope

In this paper, we continue to investigate the thermodynamic properties of stellar self-gravitating system arising from the Tsallis generalized entropy. In particular, physical interpretation of the thermodynamic instability, as has been revealed by previous paper(Taruya & Sakagami, Physica A 307 (2002) 185), is discussed in detail based on the framework of non-extensive thermostatistics. Examin...

Non-extensive Entropy and Quasi-Equilibrium States in Hamiltonian Mean-Field Model

We investigate the thermodynamic properties of Hamiltonian mean-field(HMF) model as a prototypical long-range system by means of the non-extensive thermostatistics. Especially, the quasi-equilibrium state as extremum state of the generalized Tsallis entropy is studied and its thermodynamic stability is analyzed. Based on these analysis, the connection with quasi-stationary behaviors found in th...

A non-extensive maximum entropy based regularization method for bad conditioned inverse problems

A regularization method based on the non-extensive maximum entropy principle is devised. Special emphasis is given to the q = 1=2 case. We show that, when the residual principle is considered as constraint, the q = 1=2 generalized distribution of Tsallis yields a regularized solution for bad-conditioned problems. The so devised regularized distribution is endowed with a component which correspo...
