Endodontic Management of Four Rooted Maxillary Second Molar Using CBCT as A Diagnostic Aid -A Case Report

چکیده
Successful Endodontic treatment depends upon Adequate knowledge about the morphology of root canal system and diagnosing the anatomic variants to avoid missed canals. Maxillary second molars usually present with two buccal and one palatal root. Occurrence of an extra palatal root is a rare scenario with prevalence of around 1.4%.. The following case report describes endodontic management of maxillary second molar with an unusual morphology of two independent palatal roots identified using CBCT. The access cavity design was modified and the chemo-mechanical preparation of root canals was done using rotary NiTi files and a separated instrument was bypassed and obturation was done using Endocem MTA sealer.

Case Report: Permanent Maxillary First Molar with Two Roots and Two Canals: A Rare Case Report
Abstract: Human maxillary first molars are usually considered as three-rooted teeth with four root canals for the presence of a second canal in the Mesio Buccal root (MB2). In addition, lateral ramifications and apical delta of the root canal system may frequently occur, increasing the probability of leaving untreated spaces after the root canal therapy. A thorough knowledge of root canal mor...

Variation in root canal morphology, especially in maxillary first molar presents a constant challenge for a clinician in their detection and management. This case report describes the successful root canal treatment of a three rooted right maxillary first molar presenting with three canals each in the mesiobuccal and distobuccal roots and one canal in the palatal root. The clinical detection of...

The success of endodontic treatment not only lies in meticulous cleaning, perfect shaping and precise filling of canels, it also embodies vital importance on familiarity of unusual root canal patterns. This article presents a case report of a maxillary first molar that had two separate palatal roots with distinct canals and also an invitro assessment of an extracted tooth which had a a similar ...
متن کاملEndodontic Retreatment of a Maxillary First Molar with Unusual Palatal Root Canal Morphology: A Case Report
Introdouction: Variations in root canal morphology pose a challenge for successful endodontic treatment. The root canal anatomy of the maxillary first molar has been often described as three roots with four canals (two mesiobuccal, one distobuccal, and one palatal). The occurrence of two palatal canals in one palatal root is quite rare. This report represents the case of a maxillary first molar...

The C shaped canal configuration is an anatomic variant most commonly seen in mandibular second molars. The presence of this configuration in a single rooted maxillary permanent first molar is rare. This case report describes the endodontic management of a single rooted infected maxillary first molar having a c shaped root canal configuration. Endodontic Treatment of Single Rooted Maxillary Fir...
