چکیده

nature of Hex+Cxcr4+ (H+C+) ES cell derived ADE. Global expression analysis of ES cell derived ADE lead to the identification of an H+C+ gene expression cluster that contains well know anterior endoderm markers alongside a novel set of new sequence tags. Based on multiple pairwise comparisons between the H+C+ fraction and both differentiated and undifferentiated ES cell fractions, 66 genes were selected for further analysis. Based on cytokine response and the kinetics of gene expression in differentiation, this list was reduced to 47. In vivo expression analysis of these genes during mouse development (6.0–9.0 dpc) alongside a quantitative PCR analysis of anterior restriction, has produced an early ADE signature of five genes in addition to a number of endoderm markers that are expressed in both the anterior and posterior of the embryo. Analysis of gene ontology and domain structures in these novel genes suggests this list includes proteins involved in cell signalling, and one novel transcription factor.

P144: Therapeutic Application of Mesenchymal Stem Cells in Spinal Cord Injury Treatment

Spinal cord injury (SCI) is a neurologic disorder that have a significant impact on quality of life, life expectancy, and economic burden. SCI leads to irreversible neuronal loss and ultimately leads to paralysis. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are a promising source for cellular therapy because they have possessed the capacity of self-renewal and differentiation to several distinct mesenchymal ...

Effects of Local Transplantation of Autologous Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cells in Combination with Low Level Laser Therapy in Repair of Experimental Acute Spinal Cord Injury in Rats

Objective- The aim of this study was to demonstrate the efficacy MSCs transplantation in combination with low level laser irradiation (low level laser irradiation) in repair of experimental acute spinal cord injury. Design- Experimental study. Animals- 28 adult male Wistar Rats. Procedures- A ballon- compression technique was used to produce an injury at the T8-T9 level of spi...

The adult spinal cord harbors a population of GFAP-positive progenitors with limited self-renewal potential.

Adult neural stem cells (aNSCs) of the forebrain are GFAP-expressing cells that are intercalated within ependymal cells of the subventricular zone (SVZ). Cells showing NSCs characteristics in vitro can also be isolated from the periaqueductal region in the adult spinal cord (SC), but contradicting results exist concerning their glial versus ependymal identity. We used an inducible transgenic mo...

Improving the neuronal differentiation efficiency of umbilical cord blood-derived mesenchymal stem cells cultivated under appropriate conditions

Objective(s): Umbilical cord blood-derived mesenchymal stromal cells (UCB-MSCs) are ideally suited for use in various cell-based therapies. We investigated a novel induction protocol (NIP) to improve the neuronal differentiation of human UCB-MSCs under appropriate conditions. Materials and Methods: This experimental study was performed in Iranian Blood Transfusion Organization (IBTO), Tehran, I...

Mild hypoxia and human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells synergistically enhance expansion and homing capacity of human cord blood CD34+ stem cells

Objective(s): Cord blood (CB) is known as a valuable source of hematopoietic stem cells (HSC). Identifying strategies that enhance expansion and maintain engraftment and homing capacity of HSCs can improve transplant efficiency. In this study, we examined different culture conditions on ex vivo expansion and homing capacity of CB-HSCs. Materials and Methods: In this study, 4-5 different units o...
