چکیده

This paper discusses a framework for contract-based monitoring and adaptation with respect to customers’ goals seen as an important part of Service Level Agreement (SLA) contracts. Within standard SLA contracts concepts, as mutual agreements between service providers and users, we introduce Key Goal Indicators (KGIs). These are parameters that state how well service-based processes achieve the customers’ goals. The SLA contract includes parameters of KPI, KGI and IT infrastructure type. Possible violations of each type is checked in the monitoring phase and an action is taken to adapt the violated condition through an adaptation mechanism. We describe the phases of a methodology for creating, monitoring, and adapting an SLA contract, in particular, leveraging on aspects of Quality of Service (QoS) violations.

A WSLA-Extension Supporting Service and Contract Composition Modelling

When dealing with Cloud Computing Services (CCSs) provisioning and usage, different degrees of complexity can be reached, depending on whether service composition is needed to satisfy users’ requests. This scenario demands effective ways for modelling CCSs and corresponding Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in order to facilitate service composition, comparison and monitoring. However, current SL...

Deliverable D2.2 Resource Usage Monitoring in Sla Networks Title of Deliverable: Resource Usage Monitoring in Sla Networks Deliverable D2.2 Resource Usage Monitoring in Sla Networks

This work deals with the main issues related to monitoring in the framework of the CADENUS project. Having defined an architecture capable to support dynamic service creation, configuration and delivery on top of Premium IP networks, the need arises to keep track of a number of parameters related to the quality of the service that has been negotiated and for which a formal contract (i.e. Servic...

Run-Time Monitoring of SLA for WSBS at Application Layer

Run-Time Monitoring of SLA for Web Services Based Systems (WSBS) is an interesting as well as challenging topic in the field of Web Service Monitoring. Several works already address different aspects of the Run-Time monitoring. But most of the approaches are limited to composition layer (BPEL process). The behavior of composed web services is also affected by the behavior of other layers of the...
