Trajectory Tracking of a Dirigible in a High Constant Altitude Flight

چکیده
After being neglected during many decades, airships are experiencing a new interest, specially the stratospheric lighter than air vehicle. This paper presents a nonlinear motion control method of a dirigible in a high constant altitude flight, for path tracking. We use the property that the system is input/output linearizable. In path generation, we use the cubic spiral while the polynomial approach is preferred in motion generation. Then, some simulation results are presented. Copyright 2001 IFAC

Midcourse Trajectory Shaping for Air and Ballistic Defence Guidance Using Bezier Curves
A near-optimal midcourse trajectory shaping guidance algorithm is proposed for both air and ballistic target engagement mission attributes for generic long range interceptor missile. This guidance methodology is based on the maximum final velocity as the objective function and maximum permissible flight altitude as the in-flight state constraint as well as the head-on orientation as the termina...
متن کاملDelay Compensation on Fuzzy Trajectory Tracking Control of Omni-Directional Mobile Robots
This paper presents a delay compensator fuzzy control for trajectory tracking of omni-directional mobile robots. Fuzzy logic control (FLC) of the robots is a suitable strategy for dealing with model uncertainties, nonlinearities and disturbances. On the other hand, in many robotic applications such as mobile robots, delay phenomenon is able to substantially deteriorate the behavior of system's...

Against the range-dependent accuracy of the tracking radar measurements including range, elevation and bearing angles, a new hybrid adaptive Kalman filter is proposed to enhance the performance of the radar aided strapdown inertial navigation system (INS/Radar). This filter involves the concept of residual-based adaptive estimation and adaptive fading Kalman filter and tunes dynamically the fil...
متن کاملPerformance Evaluation of the High-altitude Launch Technique to Orbit Using Atmospheric Properties
The purpose of this paper is to perform the feasibility and performance evaluation of the High-altitude launch technique using high altitude atmospheric Properties to near earth orbits. The current propulsion transportation system from Earth to space has been deemed by many to be expensive, unreliable, and an unnecessarily dangerous means of travel to space. It is suggested in this paper to ana...
متن کاملOptimal Plane Change During Constant Altitude Hypersonic Flight
In a previous paper, we addressed the problem of choosing constant values of altitude, speed, and angle of attack such that the orbital plane change during hypersonic flight is maximized for a fixed amount of propellant consumption. In the present paper, the restrictions of constant speed and angle of attack are removed. Necessary conditions for solutions to the resulting optimal control proble...
