چکیده
A polymeric tube-like Er48 complex has been synthesized and structurally characterized, in which two types of anions, i.e. Cl(-) and NO3(-), template the formation of Er18 wheels and Er12 rings through hydrogen bonding, respectively.

Extraordinary improvement of the graphitic structure of continuous carbon nanofibers templated with double wall carbon nanotubes.
Carbon nanotubes are being widely studied as a reinforcing element in high-performance composites and fibers at high volume fractions. However, problems with nanotube processing, alignment, and non-optimal stress transfer between the nanotubes and surrounding matrix have so far prevented full utilization of their superb mechanical properties in composites. Here, we present an alternative use of...

متن کاملAnion templated double cyclization assembly of a chloride selective [2]catenane.
The interweaving of two identical acyclic positively charged anion recognizing units around a chloride anion template leads to the formation of an orthogonal supramolecular ensemble which upon subsequent double ring cyclization gives a chloride selective [2]catenane in very high yield.
متن کاملTemplated Growth of Carbon Nanotubes on Nickel Loaded Mesoporous MCM-41 and MCM-48 Molecular Sieves
Chemical vapor deposition was employed to synthesize carbon nanotubes with Ni-loaded MCM-41 and MCM-48 as catalysts and acetylene as precursor at 750°C. Mesoporous Ni MCM-41 and Ni MCM-48 molecular sieves were synthesized by a hydrothermal method and were characterized by XRD and N2 adsorption isotherm. The catalytically synthesized carbon materials were characterized with Raman spectroscopy, N...
متن کاملDNA-templated CMV viral capsid proteins assemble into nanotubes.
This communication describes the in vitro assembly of genetically recombinant Cucumber Mosaic Virus (CMV) viral capsid proteins (CPs) into biological nanotubes, several micrometres long yet with a diameter of only approximately 17 nm, triggered by double-stranded DNAs of different lengths.
