چکیده

In the title compound, C(12)H(15)NO(6)S, the aromatic ring is oriented at dihedral angles of 64.76 (11) and 56.42 (13)° with respect to the planar methyl ester unit and the SO(2) group, respectively. The dihedral angle between the SO(2) group and the planar methoxy-carbonyl-methyl group is 50.42 (14)°. Intra-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonding results in the formation of an eight-membered ring. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules.

Methyl 4-[N-(5-bromopyrimidin-2-yl)carbamoyl]benzoate

In the title compound, C(13)H(10)BrN(3)O(3), the pyrimidine and benzene rings are twisted with an inter-planar angle of 58.4 (1)°. The secondary amide group adopts a cis conformation with an H-N-C-O torsion angle of 14.8 (1)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are connected into inversion dimers via pairs of N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, generating an R(2) (2)(8) motif. The dimers are further connected throug...

Methyl 4-[(5-chloropyrimidin-2-yl)carbamoyl]benzoate

Mol-ecules of the title compound, C(13)H(10)ClN(3)O(3), form centrosymmetric dimers via inter-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds generating an R(2) (2)(8) motif. The dimers are further connected through an O⋯Cl-C halogen bond [O⋯Cl = 3.233 (1) Å and O⋯Cl-C = 167.33 (1)°] into a chain along [110]. The secondary amide group adopts a cis conformation. Weak C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds among the methyl benzoat...

Developmental regulation of methyl benzoate biosynthesis and emission in snapdragon flowers.

In snapdragon flowers, the volatile ester methyl benzoate is the most abundant scent compound. It is synthesized by and emitted from only the upper and lower lobes of petals, where pollinators (bumblebees) come in contact with the flower. Emission of methyl benzoate occurs in a rhythmic manner, with maximum emission during the day, which correlates with pollinator activity. A novel S-adenosyl-l...
