Guidelines for Prescribing Radiographs

چکیده
Radiographs can only be prescribed by a dentist and then only after a clinical examination has been performed to determined which projections are required to give the maximum diagnostic information. After considering the clinical findings, medical and dental history, [the radiographic needs of each patient must be considered individually. Radiographic views must be selected to give the maximum diagnostic yield with the minimum exposure to ionizing radiation.
