چکیده
ficient of Determination and Nash-Sutcliffo Coefficient were used for comparing the prediction ability of the developed models. Four input parameters were Body & texture, aroma & flavour, moisture, and free fatty acid. Neurons in two hidden layers varied from 1 to 20. One output parameter was sensory score. Experiments show that Elman model with combination of 4-17-17-1 performed significantly well for predicting the shelf life of processed cheese stored at 7-8oC. In the third paper Herawan enhanced his previous work to present a relation between rough set and soft set. The idea of rough setbased topological space is proposed to show that a rough set can be considered as a soft set. There are two main steps presented. Firstly, a construction of a quasi-discrete topology using indiscernibility (equivalence) relation in rough set theory is described. Secondly, the paper describes that a general topology is a special case of soft set. It is shown that standard rough set is properly included in soft set. This confirms that soft set theory provides wider study both theoretically and in applications. The contribution of the fourth paper consists in a SPM (Self-learning Pattern Matching) i

A MOS-based dynamic memetic differential evolution algorithm for continuous optimization: a scalability test
Continuous optimization is one of the areas with more activity in the field of heuristic optimization. Many algorithms have been proposed and compared on several benchmarks of functions, with different performance depending on the problems. For this reason, the combination of different search strategies seems desirable to obtain the best performance of each of these approaches. This contributio...

متن کاملUtilization of Soft Computing for Evaluating the Performance of Stone Sawing Machines, Iranian Quarries
The escalating construction industry has led to a drastic increase in the dimension stone demand in the construction, mining and industry sectors. Assessment and investigation of mining projects and stone processing plants such as sawing machines is necessary to manage and respond to the sawing performance; hence, the soft computing techniques were considered as a challenging task due to stocha...
متن کاملSpecial Issue on Current Trends in Soft Computing
In the second paper, Fayçal Belkaid, Zaki Sari, and Mehdi Souier developed a genetic algorithm (GA) to solve the parallel machine scheduling problem with consumable resources. To check effectiveness of this algorithm, workers compared it with an exact resolution method, which enumerates all possible solutions for small instances and with a heuristic for large instances. Various randomly generat...
