چکیده
A. FLUOROMETRIC METHOD for the determination of histidine was developed in response to the need for an accurate and precise manual method for the confirmation of histidinemia (1). it is based on the fluorometric method of Shore et a!. (2), which involves the condensation of histaniine with o-phthalaidehyde (OPT) in a strongly alkaline solution to form a rather labile fluorescent compound which is stabilized by acidification. The specificity parameters and quantitation of tile niethod as applied to blood samples is described.
