Cometary Dust in the Debris Disks of HD 31648 and HD 163296 : Two \ Baby "
نویسندگان
چکیده
The debris disks surrounding the pre-main sequence stars HD 31648 and HD 163296 were observed spectroscopically between 3 and 14 m. Both possess a silicate emission feature at 10 m which resembles that of the star Pictoris and those observed in solar system comets. The structure of the band is consistent with a mixture of olivine and pyroxene material, plus an underlying continuum of unspeciied origin. The similarity in both size and structure of the silicate band suggests that the material in these systems had a processing history similar to that in our own solar system prior to the time that the grains were incorporated into comets.

متن کاملISO spectroscopy of circumstellar dust in the Herbig Ae systems AB Aur and HD 163296 ?
Using both the Shortand Long-wavelength Spectrometers on board the Infrared Space Observatory (ISO), we have obtained infrared spectra of the Herbig Ae systems AB Aur and HD 163296. In addition, we obtained ground-based N band images of HD 163296. Our results can be summarized as follows: (1) The main dust components in AB Aur are amorphous silicates, iron oxide and PAHs; (2) The circumstellar ...
متن کاملFirst Scattered Light Images of Debris Disks around Hd 53143 and Hd 139664
We present the first scattered light images of debris disks around a K star (HD 53143) and an F star (HD 139664) using the coronagraphic mode of the Advanced Camera for Surveys (ACS) aboard the Hubble Space Telescope (HST). With ages 0.3 1 Gyr, these are among the oldest optically detected debris disks. HD 53143, viewed ∼45 from edge-on, does not show radial variation in disk structure and has ...
متن کامل2 and 18 Micron Images of Dust Surrounding Hd 32297
We present the first subarcsecond-resolution images at multiple mid-IR wavelengths of the thermallyemitting dust around the A0 star HD 32297. Our observations with T-ReCS at Gemini South reveal a nearly edge-on resolved disk at both 11.7 μm and 18.3 μm that extends ∼150 AU in radius. The mid-IR is the third wavelength region in which this disk has been resolved, following coronagraphic observat...
متن کاملA peculiar class of debris disks from Herschel/DUNES⋆
Context. The existence of debris disks around old main sequence stars is usually explained by continuous replenishment of small dust grains through collisions from a reservoir of larger objects. Aims. We present photometric data of debris disks around HIP 103389 (HD 199260), HIP 107350 (HN Peg, HD 206860), and HIP 114948 (HD 219482), obtained in the context of our Herschel open time key program...
