P01-038 – QT and JT dispersion in children with FMF
نویسندگان
چکیده
Introduction Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF) is an autoimmune, autosomal recessive inherited disorder, and characterized by recurrent episodes of peritonitis, plöritis and arthritis. Patients with inflammatory disease are at increased risk of cardiovascular complications due to rhythm disorders. QT and JT dispersions are simple and non-invasive arrhythmogenic markers and can be used to assess the homogeneity of cardiac repolarization.

متن کاملCORRECTED QT DISPERSION IN CHILDREN WITH ISOLATED UNCOMPLICATED MITRAL VALVE PROLAPSE
Mitral valve prolapse (MVP) is a relatively frequent valvular abnormality. In both children and adults with MVP, an increased incidence of ventricular arrhythmias has been reported. QT dispersion, defined as the difference in duration between the longest QT interval and the shortest one, for a given set of electrocardiographic leads has been proposed as a sign of regional difference in card...
متن کاملHeart repolarization changes after anthracycline therapy in the children with cancer
Background Anthracyclines are important components of many chemotherapeutic protocols. The present study aimed to evaluate the repolarization changes in electrocardiography (ECG) which may predict drug induced arrhythmia. Materials and Methods In this cross-sectional study, the recorded ECGs were assessed for QT dispersion (QTd), QT corrected dispersion (QTcd), T peak to Tend dispersion (TPe...
متن کاملFamilial Mediterranean Fever is associated with abnormal ventricular repolarization indices.
BACKGROUND Cardiac arrhythmias can be a part of cardiovascular involvement in some rheumatic diseases, but data about familial Mediterranean fever (FMF) are conflicting. AIM To search for abnormalities in ventricular repolarization indices in FMF patients. PATIENTS AND METHODS Seventy seven FMF patients and 30 age/gender comparable healthy controls were included. All patients were attack fr...
متن کاملVentricular repolarization in diabetic patients: characterization and clinical implications.
BACKGROUND Diabetes mellitus is a chronic and very common condition, and there has been lately a considerable increase in its prevalence and incidence. Diabetic patients have increased cardiovascular mortality, in which malignant ventricular arrhythmias seem to be implicated. OBJECTIVE To study the effects of diabetes on ventricular repolarization parameters responsible for an increased susce...
