چکیده

We study exact renormalization group (RG) in O(4) gauged supergrav-ity using the effective average action formalism. The nonperturbative RG equations for cosmological and newtonian coupling constants are found. It is shown the existence of (nonstable) fixed point of these equations. The solution of RG equation for newtonian coupling constant is qualitatively the same as in Einstein gravity (i.e. it is growing at large distances). There was recently much activity in the study of nonperturbative RG dynamics in field theory models (for recent refs., see [1]). One of the versions of nonperturbative RG based on the effective average action has been developed in ref. [2] for Einstein gravity (the gauge dependence problem in this formalism has been studied in ref [3]). The nonperturbative RG equations for cosmological and newtonian coupling constants have been obtained in ref. [2]. The comparison between quantum correction to newtonian coupling from nonperturbative RG [2] and from effective field theory technique [4] has been done. It is quite interesting to generalize nonperturbative RG (or evolution equation) to supersymmetric versions of gravity theories. The theories of such type with cosmological term are gauged supergravities (SG), which may show

AdS and dS Braneworld Kaluza - Klein Reduction

We obtain new results for consistent braneworld Kaluza-Klein reductions, showing how we can derive four-dimensional N = 2 gauged supergravity " localised on the AdS 4 brane " as an exact embedding in five-dimensional N = 4 gauged supergravity. Similarly, we obtain five-dimensional N = 2 gauged supergravity localised on an AdS 5 brane as a consistent Kaluza-Klein reduction from six-dimensional N...

Holographic Duals of 4 D Field Theories

We discuss various aspect of the holographic correspondence between 5-d gravity and 4-d field theory. First of all, we describe deformations of N = 4 Super Yang-Mills (SYM) theories in terms of 5-d gauged supergravity. In particular, we describe N = 0 and N = 1 deformations of N = 4 SYM to confining theories. Secondly, we describe recent proposals for the holographic dual of the renormalization...

We find solutions of the bosonic sector of gauged N=4, D=4 SU(2)×SU(2) supergravity, which represent dilaton black holes with toroidal or spherical event horizons. The axion is consistently truncated, and the gauge group is broken to U(1)×U(1). The spherical black holes carry two electric and two magnetic abelian charges, whereas the toroidal holes have vanishing magnetic charges. The spacetime...
