چکیده
Introduction Chronic granulomatous disease (CGD) is a primary immune deficiency that characterized with recurrent infections and granuloma formation. A variety of autoimmune disorders and immune-mediated phenomena such as inflammatory bowel disease, discoid lupus erythematous, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, Ig A nephropathy, sarcoidosis, rheumatoid arthritis, idiopathic thrombocytopenia, eosinophilic cystitis, celiac disease, autoimmune hemolytic anemia and antiphospholipid syndrome have been associated with CGD.

Anticardiolipin Antibodies in Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
Background: Antiphospholipid antibody syndrome (APS) can either occur as a primary syndrome or associated with other autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Anticardiolipin antibody (aCL) of IgG and/or IgM isotype in blood, measured by a standardized ELISA is the most acceptable laboratory criteria. APS IgG isotype, particularly IgG2 subclass is more strongly associated ...

Introduction Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is a complex autoimmune and inflammatory disease. Many studies show HLA alleles can be associated with SLE. The aim of this study was to determine the association of HLA-DRB1 alleles with juvenile- onset in Iranian children. Materials and Methods At a case – control study, 31 children with systemic lupus erythematosus (case group) who referred to ...
متن کاملUse of Intravenous Immunoglobulin Therapy in a paediatric rheumatology service
Background Intravenous Immunoglobulin (IVIG) is widely used in paediatric inflammatory disease. The Department of Health, UK recently produced guidelines for IVIG use and a demand management plan in response to global IVIG shortages, recommending use in "selected" patients with juvenile dermatomyositis (JDMS), as a "last resort" in systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis (sJIA), and use not supp...
متن کاملAutoimmune response in children with dengue. Case reports.
Dengue is an infectious disease caused by the dengue virus (DV), which can progress to dengue hemorrhagic fever and dengue shock syndrome. DV causes the production of auto-antibodies against human cells. A variety of factors have been associated with macrophage activation syndrome, including infections, drugs and autoimmune pathologies (systemic lupus erythematosus, systemic onset juvenile idio...

Background: Systemic-onset Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (SoJIA) is an autoinflammatory disease with complex genetic trait starts in children less than 16 years of age with fever and cutaneous rash. Despite, the main genetic factors that may play a role in SoJIA have not yet been identified. High level of interleukin-1beta in the blood of SoJIA patients has been reported. The production and sec...
