چکیده

This report addresses issues related to the analysis of uncer tainty in dose assessments conducted as part of decommis sioning analyses. The analysis is limited to the hydrologic aspects of the exposure pathway involving infiltration of water at the ground surface, leaching of contaminants, and transport of contaminants through the groundwater to a point of exposure. The basic conceptual models and mathe matical implementations of three dose assessment codes are outlined along with the site-specific conditions under which the codes may provide inaccurate, potentially nonconserva tive results. In addition, the hydrologic parameters of the codes are identified and compared. A methodology for parameter uncertainty assessment is outlined that considers the potential data limitations and modeling needs of decom missioning analyses. This methodology uses generic param eter distributions based on national or regional databases, sensitivity analysis, probabilistic modeling, and Bayesian updating to incorporate site-specific information. Data sources for best-estimate parameter values and parameter uncertainty information are also reviewed. A follow-on report will illustrate the uncertainty assessment methodol ogy using decommissioning test cases.

This report uses hypothetical decommissioning test cases to illustrate an uncertainty assessment methodology for dose assessments conducted as part of decommissioning analyses for NRC-licensed facilities. This methodology was pre sented previously in NUREG/CR-6656. The hypothetical test case source term and scenarios are based on an actual decommissioning case and the physical setting is based ...

واسنجی و تحلیل عدم‌قطعیت یک مدل نیمه‌توزیعی در یک منطقه ‌نیمه‌خشک

Application of conceptual hydrological models is an important issue in watersheds for researchers, especially in arid and semi-arid regions. The hydrological behaviors are complicated in such watersheds and their calibration is more difficult. In this article, the conceptual and semi-distributed SWAT model is used for a semi-arid Nishabour watershed with 9350 km2 area. Streamflow simulation is ...

تخمین عدم قطعیت مدل شبیه سازی سیلاب HEC-HMS با استفاده از الگوریتم مونت کارلو زنجیره مارکوف

There are some parameters in hydrologic models that cannot be measured directly. Estimation of hydrologic model parameters by various approaches and different optimization algorithms are generally error-prone, and therefore, uncertainty analysis is necessary. In this study we used DREAM-ZS, Differential Evolution Adaptive Metropolis, to investigate uncertainties of hydrologic model (HEC-HMS) pa...
