چکیده
Cardiac fibroma is a rare primary tumor of the heart. Patients can be asymptomatic or present with palpitations, cardiac murmur, syncope, arrhythmias, symptoms of congestive heart failure, or sudden death. Giant Cell Fibroma of the Buccal Mucosa with Laser Excision: Report of Unusual Case
Giant Cell Fibroma (GCF) was described as a new entity of fibrous hyperplastic soft tissue. It seems that stimulus from an unexplained origin can have a role in its etiology. Histopathologically GCF is consisted of multinucleated fibroblasts that have oval shape nuclei within the eosinophilic cytoplasm. Surgical excision is the treatment of choice and recurrence is very rare. Here we report a c...

متن کاملConservative management of a left ventricle cardiac fibroma in an asymptomatic child patient.
Primary cardiac tumors in infancy and childhood are rare and usually benign. Fibroma is the second most common bening cardiac tumor after rhabdomyoma. Surgery is required when fibromas cause ventricular outflow tract obstruction, ventricular dysfunction and life-threatening arrhythmia. This case report describes a 9-year-old asymptomatic male presenting with a giant left ventricular cardiac fib...

Juvenile ossifying fibroma (JOF) is a rare, benign, locally aggressive entity of the extragnathic craniofacial bones with a high tendency towards recurrence. Two distinctive microscopic patterns of juvenile ossifying fibroma have been described: a trabecular juvenile ossifying fibroma (TrJOF) and a psammomatoid juvenile ossifying fibroma (PJOF). Psammomatoid variant is predominantly a craniofac...
متن کاملSuccessful surgical treatment for recurrent cardiac fibroma 21 years after resection
Cardiac fibromas are rare benign tumors usually seen in the pediatric population. Generally, long-term survival after surgical resection is favorable, and recurrence of fibroma has been hardly reported. Herein, we report a case of a 34-year-old woman who presented with ventricular tachycardia 21 years after resection of a cardiac fibroma and was found to have a recurrent giant cardiac fibroma. ...
