Intelligent CONtent management System Presentation of the IST ICONS

The ICONS (Intelligent CONtent management System) project objectives and contribution to the current state of the knowledge management field is presented. The project represents an ongoing international research effort funded by the European IST research programme. An important aspect of the project is the fact that its inception and the technological platform are based on the industrial software development, the OfficeObjects® Portal project, performed at Rodan Systems S.A.. The OfficeObjects® Portal product is currently commercially available and boasts 6 large scale application within the first 6 months of market distribution.
