In recent years, Klebsiella pneumoniae strains have become the second largest bacteria after the E. coli in China causing community-acquired infections and nosocomial infection [1]. The K. pneumoniae strains commonly recognized by clinicians and microbiologists are termed classic K. pneumoniae (cKP).
