From Descriptive to Prescriptive Models of Agent-Oriented Information Systems

چکیده

We propose a methodology where the modelling of AgentOriented Information Systems starts from the modelling of strategic relationships between the actors involved, and continues by means-ends analysis connecting business goals to the tasks used for achieving them. Following that, strategic relationships are represented by using the notion of metacommitment, and lifecycles of commitments are modelled as interaction frames. In the further refinement, business tasks are augmented by their triggering-, preand postconditions, and are then transformed to reaction rules of knowledge-perception-memory-commitment (KPMC) agents. The methodology is evaluated by using the case study of a car rental company.

Procedure-Oriented Studies of Collective Phenomena in Multi-Agent Systems

The research described in this paper concerns alliance formation and norms of behavior in communities of intelligent agents. An alliance is composed of intelligent agents that have made a deliberate decision to join forces to achieve alliance goals. Norms are defined as limitations on agents, such as legal constraints on individual actions. The aim of this research is to arrive at descriptive a...

Aspect Oriented UML to ECORE Model Transformation

With the emerging concept of model transformation, information can be extracted from one or more source models to produce the target models. The conversion of these models can be done automatically with specific transformation languages. This conversion requires mapping between both models with the help of dynamic hash tables. Hash tables store reference links between the elements of the source...

On Marrying Model-driven Engineering and Process Mining: A Case Study in Execution-based Model Profiling

In model-driven engineering (MDE), models are mostly used in prescriptive ways for system engineering. While prescriptive models are indeed an important ingredient to realize a system, for later phases in the systems’ lifecycles additional model types are beneficial to use. Unfortunately, current MDE approaches mostly neglect the information upstream in terms of descriptive models from operatio...
