چکیده
A patient with tricuspid atresia and characteristic electrocardiographic features of counterclockwise and superiorly oriented frontal plane QRS loop (left anterior hemiblock) is presented. Operative intervention resulted in a clockwise and inferior rotation of the frontal QRS loop (left posterior hemiblock) without the development of complete left bundle branch block. This observation suggests that the electrocardiographic pattern of left anterior hemiblock may

متن کاملCongenital tricuspid atresia with transposition of the great vessels.
Congenital tricuspid atresia has been classified into two groups, those with and those without transposition of the great vessels (Kiihne, 1906). Each of these groups is further subdivided according to whether there is an increase or a decrease in the pulmonary blood flow (Edwards and Burchell, 1949). Tricuspid atresia with transposition of the great vessels and an increase in pulmonary blood f...

An echocardiographic pattern of normal tricuspid valve motion in a patient with tricuspid atresia, and pulmonic valve motion in a patient with transposition of the great vessels and pulmonary atresia were documented. The recordings of the valve motion resulted in an initial erroneous diagnosis. Although M-mode echocardiography is very useful for the initial diagnostic evaluation of critically i...
متن کاملObservations on changing hemodynamics in tricuspid atresia without associated transposition of the great vessels.
Three patients are discussed who, in early infancy, presented with mild cyanosis, cardiac decompensation, failure to thrive, and pulmonary congestion. These manifestations were associated with tricuspid atresia without transposition of the great vessels. The clinical course of these children, who in varying periods of time became progressively more cyanotic, with hearts becoming smaller, and wi...

The electrocardiogram in complete transposition of the great vessels has been discussed by several authors (Campbell and Suzman, 1951; Astley and Parsons, 1952; Wood, 1956; Keith, Rowe, and Vlad, 1958; Noonan et al., 1960; Elliott et al., 1963a; Calleja, Hosier, and Grajo, 1965; and others). Most authors correlated the electrocardiogram with the underlying pathology of the ventricular septum an...
