Probabilistic PCR6 fusion rule

چکیده
This chapter defines and implements a non-Bayesian fusion rule for combining densities of probabilities, derived from imprecise knowledge. This rule is the restriction to a strict probabilistic paradigm of the Proportional Conflict Redistribution rule no 6 (PCR6) developed in the DSmT framework for fusing basic belief assignments. A sampling method for probabilistic PCR6 (p-PCR6) is defined. It is shown that p-PCR6 allows to keep the modes of local densities and preserve as much as possible the whole information inherent to each densities to combine. In particular, p-PCR6 is able of maintaining multiple hypotheses/modes, when they are too distant for fusion, contrariwise to classical technique. The question of sequential filtering by p-PCR6 is addressed, thus implying the necessity to handle the redundancy of the information.

An Effective and Optimal Fusion Rule in the Presence of Probabilistic Spectrum Sensing Data Falsification Attack
Cognitive radio (CR) network is an excellent solution to the spectrum scarcity problem. Cooperative spectrum sensing (CSS) has been widely used to precisely detect of primary user (PU) signals. The trustworthiness of the CSS is vulnerable to spectrum sensing data falsification (SSDF) attack. In an SSDF attack, some malicious users intentionally report wrong sensing results to cheat the fusion c...
متن کاملA New Combination Rule in Evidence Theory
Multi-target tracking system is used to distinguish the class from different targets and obtain the trajectory of all targets from multiple information systems. As a significant and novel information fusion method, evidence theory has been used in multi-target tracking system. The evidence combination rule which is the core of evidence theory is turning into a new research emphasis. Yager combi...

In this note we want to show that the PCR6 fusion rule works and redistributes the conflicting mass properly, contrarily to the authors’ assertion that “the focal element {v3} absorbs almost all of the conflicting mass (the majority).” We also question the validity of the new CREC rule of combination presented by the authors.
متن کاملOn the consistency of PCR6 with the averaging rule and application to probability estimation
Since the development of belief function theory introduced by Shafer in seventies, many combination rules have been proposed in the literature to combine belief functions specially (but not only) in high conflicting situations because the emblematic Dempster’s rule generates counter-intuitive and unacceptable results in practical applications. Many attempts have been done during last thirty yea...
متن کاملDeveloping a monitoring system for long-distance pipeline leakage incorporating fusion of conflicting evidences
Quite often, during long-distance pipe leakage, critical decisions have to be made quickly and with as much certainty as possible using conflicting and uncertain sources of information. Key to providing quality decision options is an appropriate method of combining, or fusing, these heterogeneous evidence sources. Since the development of belief function theory introduced by Shafer in the 1970s...
