چکیده

Hierarchical structure of copper nanowires (Cu NWs) was formed by using simple solution process through hydrothermal approach, with an average length and diameter of 6 ± 2 μm and 120±15 nm respectively. The size and morphology of Cu NW was dependent on the reaction time. An extinction peak was observed at 560 nm indicate the possibility of Cu NW plasmonic effect. The absorption spectrum shows improvement over a wavelength range of 450 nm to 650 nm, due to the plasmonic effect of Cu NW in PEDOT:PSS with active layer. . © 2014 The Authors. Improving the optical properties of thin film plasmonic solar cells of InP absorber layer using nanowires

In this paper, a thin-film InP-based solar cell designed and simulated. The proposed InP solar cell has a periodic array of plasmonic back-reflector, which consists of a silver layer and two silver nanowires. The indium tin oxide (ITO) layer also utilized as an anti-reflection coating (ARC) layer on top. The design creates a light-trapping structure by using a plasmonic back-reflector and an an...

Rational design of metallic nanowire-based plasmonic architectures for efficient inverted polymer solar cells

Plasmonics can improve the performance of polymer solar cells (PSCs) by localizing and concentrating light, and the location of the plasmonic metallic nanostructure in devices plays an important role in how to design high-performance plasmonic solar cells. Here, by varying the location of silver nanowires (Ag NWs) within the device architecture (at the interface between indium–tin–oxide and cat...
