چکیده

This paper is an exposition of the so-called injective Morita contexts (in which the connecting bimodule morphisms are injective) and Morita α-contexts (in which the connecting bimodules enjoy some local projectivity in the sense of ZimmermannHuisgen). Motivated by situations in which only one trace ideal is in action, or the compatibility between the bimodule morphisms is not needed, we introduce the notions of Morita semi-contexts and Morita data, and investigate them. Injective Morita data will be used (with the help of static and adstatic modules) to establish equivalences between some intersecting subcategories related to subcategories of modules that are localized or colocalized by trace ideals of a Morita datum. We end up with applications of Morita α-contexts to ∗-modules and injective right wide Morita contexts.

A Note on Stable Equivalences of Morita Type

We investigate when an exact functor F ∼= − ⊗Λ MΓ : mod-Λ → mod-Γ which induces a stable equivalence is part of a stable equivalence of Morita type. If Λ and Γ are finite dimensional algebras over a field k whose semisimple quotients are separable, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for this to be the case. This generalizes a result of Rickard’s for self-injective algebras. As a corol...

Gorenstein Projective, Injective and Flat Modules Relative to Semidualizing Modules

In this paper we study some properties of GC -projective, injective and flat modules, where C is a semidualizing module and we discuss some connections between GC -projective, injective and flat modules , and we consider these properties under change of rings such that completions of rings, Morita equivalences and the localizations.

Construction of Stable Equivalences of Morita Type for Finite-dimensional Algebras I

In the representation theory of finite groups, the stable equivalence of Morita type plays an important role. For general finite-dimensional algebras, this notion is still of particular interest. However, except for the class of self-injective algebras, one does not know much on the existence of such equivalences between two finite-dimensional algebras; in fact, even a nontrivial example is not...

Communication Strategies Revisited: Looking beyond Interactional and Psycholinguistic Perspectives

Second language (L2) communication strategies (CSs) have traditionally been dealt with through either interactional or psychological perspectives. However, this paper is a critical attempt to question the status of the particular kinds of psycholinguistic and interactional approaches that currently dominate the field of second language acquisition (SLA). In this way, it expands the significance...

On Morita Contexts in Bicategories

We characterize abstract Morita contexts in several bicategories. In particular, we use heteromorphisms for the bicategory Prof of categories and profunctors and coreflective subcategories for Cat (categories and functors). In addition, we prove general statements concerning strict Morita contexts, and we give new equivalent forms to the standard notions of adjointness, category equivalence and...
