No-go theorem for gravivector and graviscalar on the brane

We prove the no-go theorem that the gravivector (h5μ) and graviscalar (h55) cannot have the massless modes on the RS brane. We analyze this model with the de Donder gauge (5D transverse-tracefree gauge). It turns out that h55 does not have any bulk (massive) and brane (massless) propagations. On the other hand, although h5μ has a kind of massive propagation, it does not have any massless propagation. Our observation is based on the Z2-symmetry argument and their compatibility conditions with the tensor hμν -equation. ∗E-mail address: [email protected]
