چکیده
In this paper, we provide an overview of our on-going implementation of a 3 Generation Partnership Program (3GPP) Proximity Services (ProSe) module in ns-3 to enable the performance evaluation of device-to-device (D2D) discovery and communication in Long Term Evolution (LTE) networks. A Multiband Multiple-input Multiple-output Antenna System for Long Term Evolution and Wireless Local Area Networks Handsets
A novel multiband multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) antenna system is proposed. The MIMO antenna system consists of two antenna elements, each of which comprises of three radiators: a driven monopole, an S-shaped strip and an inverted F-shaped strip and occupies footprint of 15x18.5x0.8 mm3 only. The driven monopole acts as a quarter-wave monopole and stimulate higher mode resonance. The tw...

Thanks to the wide availability of bandwidth, the millimeter wave (mmWave) frequencies will provide very high data rates to mobile users in next generation 5G cellular networks. However, mmWave links su er from high isotropic pathloss and blockage from common materials, and are subject to an intermittent channel quality. Therefore, protocols and solutions at di erent layers in the cellular netw...
متن کاملA Realistic Model and Simulation Parameters of LTE-Advanced Networks
Long Term Evolution Advanced (LTE-Advanced) network is the continuation of 3GPP-LTE (3GPP: 3rd Generation Partnership Project) and it targets to advanced develop of the requirements of LTE in terms of throughput and coverage. Then, LTEAdvanced is not new as a radio access technology, but it is an evolution of LTE to enhance the performance. LTE-Advanced was accomplished in late of 2010 and it e...
متن کاملPeak to Average Power Ratio Reduction Techniques for Long Term Evolution- Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access System
As the power consumption is an essential issue for designers of mobile devices The 3 Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) – Long Term Evolution (LTE) employs a multicarrier communication technique on the air interface, Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access (SCFDMA), in uplink scenario and Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) in the downlink. SCFDMA core modulation ...
متن کاملA Modified Empirical Path Loss Model for 4G LTE Network in Lagos, Nigeria
The quality of signal at a particular location is essential to determine the performance of mobile system. The problem of poor network in Lagos, Nigeria needs to be addressed especially now that the attention is toward online learning and meetings. Existing empirical Path Loss (PL) models designed elsewhere are not appropriate for predicting the 4G Long-Term Evolution (LTE) signal in Nigeria. T...
