Mobility and Media Convergence

چکیده
In this paper mobility and mobile information technology are discussed in the context of media convergence and the evolution of the media industry. The paper suggests that mobile information technology, in different forms, is converging with the more traditional media, i.e., mobile media. It is also claimed that visitors at different types of events are information demanding, and that mobile media can satisfy these demands. In the paper we give examples from three cases where a content management system was set up to give participants at the different events additional channels of information to increase their experience at the event.
