Equivalence of TBA and QTM
نویسندگان
چکیده
The traditional thermodynamic Bethe ansatz (TBA) equations for the XXZ model at |∆| ≥ 1 are derived within the quantum transfer matrix (QTM) method. This provides further evidence of the equivalence of both methods. Most importantly, we derive an integral equation for the free energy formulated for just one unknown function. This integral equation is different in physical and mathematical aspects from the established ones. The single integral equation is analytically continued to the regime |∆| < 1.

Thermodynamic Bethe ansatz equation from fusion hierarchy of osp(1|2) integrable spin chain
The thermodynamic Bethe ansatz (TBA) and the excited state TBA equations for an integrable spin chain related to the Lie superalgebra osp(1|2) are proposed by the quantum transfer matrix (QTM) method. We introduce the fusion hierarchy of the QTM and derive the functional relations among them (T -system) and their certain combinations (Y -system). Their analytical property leads to the non-linea...
متن کاملOn Quantum Turing Machine Halting Deterministically
We define a subclass of quantum Turing machine (QTM) named SR-QTM, which halts deterministically and has deterministic tape head position. A quantum state transition diagram (QSTD) is proposed to describe SR-QTM. With the help of QSTD, we construct a SR-QTM which is universal for all near-trivial transformations. This means there exists a QTM which is universal for the above subclass. Finally w...
متن کاملA Method for Global-Scale Archiving of Imaging Data Based on QTM Pixels
A global multi-resolution image data model and a feasible solution for its seamless management and archiving remain a challenging vision. The traditional methods of the raster pixel data structure based on the idea of map projections are effective to support local or small-scale areas. However, if this structure is applied to large-scale or whole global image archiving, some significant drawbac...
متن کاملRelationships Between Quantum and Classical Space-Bounded Complexity Classes
This paper investigates the relative power of space-bounded quantum and classical (probabilistic) computational models. The following relationships are proved. 1. Any probabilistic Turing machine (PTM) which runs in space s and which halts absolutely (i.e. halts with certainty after a nite number of steps) can be simulated in space O(s) by a quantum Turing machine (QTM). If the PTM operates wit...
متن کاملPartial Observation of Quantum Turing Machines and a Weaker Well-Formedness Condition
The quantum Turing machine (QTM) has been introduced by Deutsch as an abstract model of quantum computation. The transition function of a QTM is linear, and has to be unitary to be a well-formed QTM. This well-formedness condition ensures that the evolution of the machine does not violate the postulates of quantum mechanics. However, we claim in this paper that the well-formedness condition is ...
