چکیده
colonies was white to gray, and the reverse was colored pale yellowish brown. The strain produced no reproductive structures even on sterilized natural substrates. The absence of morphological characteristics implied that this fungus could be treated as a deuteromycete in the Agonomycetes3). YM-170320 (1) was produced by solid state fermentation. Vegetative mycelia of strain YL-03706F growing on potato-dextrose agar were used to prepare the fermentation inoculum in a 500-ml Erlenmeyer flask containing 100ml of a seed medium consisting of glucose 1%, potato starch 2%, yeast extract 0.5%, Polypepton (Nihon Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.) 0.5% and CaCO3

Isolation and Characterization of a New Peroxisome Deficient CHO Mutant Cell Belonging to Complementation Group 12
We searched for novel Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cell mutants defective in peroxisome biogenesis by an improved method using peroxisome targeting sequence (PTS) of Pex3p (amino acid residues 1–40)-fused enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP). From mutagenized TKaEG3(1–40) cells, the wild-type CHO-K1 stably expressing rat Pex2p and of rat Pex3p(1–40)-EGFP, numerous cell colonies resistant to...
متن کاملProduction of uricase by Candida tropicalis using n-alkane as a substrate.
Production of uricase (urate oxidase, EC 1.7.3.3) by n-alkane-utilizing Candida tropicalis pK233 was studied. Although the yeast showed very low enzyme productivity under growing conditions on glucose or an n-alkane mixture (C10 to C13) (less than 2 U/g of dry cells), enzyme formation was enhanced markedly in an induction medium consisting of potassium phosphate buffer, MgSO4, uric acid, and an...
متن کاملIdentification of yeast species in the oral cavity of Iranian soldiers by disk diffusion method
Abstract Background: The disk diffusion method for identification of yeasts species was performed based on different but distinct susceptibilities of yeasts spp. to chemicals: janus green, ethidium bromide, 2,3,5-triphenyltetrazolium chloride, brilliant green, cycloheximide and rhodamine 6G. Methods: Atotal of 568 Iranian soldiers went under study for isolation and identification of Yeast spec...
متن کاملشناسایی و تعیین فراوانی گونه های کاندیدا جدا شده از بیماران به روش کروم آگار کاندیدا
Introduction & Objective: Candida species can cause opportunistic infections in human. Although Candida albicans is major pathogenic species, non-albicans species of Candida such as C. glabrata , C. tropicalis and C. krusei have been increasingly reported. Identification of Candida species is essential for effective antifungal therapy and for infection control purposes. In the present study the...
متن کاملYM-193221, a novel antifungal antibiotic produced by Pseudallescheria ellipsoidea.
A novel antifungal antibiotic, YM-193221, was found in the culture broth of a fungus, Pseudallescheria ellipsoidea. The structure of the antibiotic was determined through several spectroscopic experiments as 2-dimethylamino-1-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-8,10-dimethyl-6-dodecene-3-one. YM-193221 exhibited potent antifungal activity against Candida albicans and also inhibited mannan synthesis in the yeast ...
