چکیده

A classi cation in terms of accuracy of ux limited high resolution schemes in steep gradient region is done based on two di erent total variation (TV) stability region. The dependence of TV stability region on the smoothness parameter is discussed which relates these two TV stability regions. A common unifying TV stability region is proposed for both class of schemes. Moreover new ux limiters, satisfying the unifying TV stability region are also proposed which are robust and work e ciently for both backward (left) and forward (right) moving solution pro le. Main signi cant feature of this work is that it can improve accuracy of all existing ux limiters based schemes. Numerical results on linear test problems are given to support the theoretical discussion.

A total variation diminishing high resolution scheme for nonlinear conservation laws

In this paper we propose a novel high resolution scheme for scalar nonlinear hyperbolic conservation laws. The aim of high resolution schemes is to provide at least second order accuracy in smooth regions and produce sharp solutions near the discontinuities. We prove that the proposed scheme that is derived by utilizing an appropriate flux limiter is nonlinear stable in the sense of total varia...

The comparison of two high-order semi-discrete central schemes for solving hyperbolic conservation laws

This work presents two high-order, semi-discrete, central-upwind schemes for computing approximate solutions of 1D systems of conservation laws. We propose a central weighted essentially non-oscillatory (CWENO) reconstruction, also we apply a fourth-order reconstruction proposed by Peer et al., and afterwards, we combine these reconstructions with a semi-discrete central-upwind numerical flux ...

Cramér-rao Lower Bound as a Performance Measure for High Resolution Multidimensional Channel Parameter Estimation Schemes

The Cramér-Rao lower bound (CRLB) is derived as a performance measure for multidimensional channel parameter estimation schemes. A compact formulation of the CRLB is given, revealing its dependence on the given wave parameters. Moreover, the SAGE algorithm is presented to yield a high resolution of the impinging electromagnetic field with respect to delay, azimuth and elevation. Furthermore, a ...

Selected Topics in Approximate Solutions of Nonlinear Conservation Laws. High-resolution Central Schemes

Central schemes offer a simple and versatile approach for computing approximate solutions of non-linear systems of hyperbolic conservation laws and related PDEs. The solution of such problems often involves the spontaneous evolution of steep gradients. The multiscale aspect of these gradients poses a main computational challenge for their numerical solution. Central schemes utilize a minimal am...

Weighted Compact and Non- compact Scheme for Shock Tube and Shock Entropy Interaction

[Abstract] In this paper, we introduce a new type of high order shock capturing schemes – uniform weighted compact and non-compact scheme (UWCNC) or simply XJL scheme developed by Xie, Jiang and Liu. This new scheme is based on the feature of discrete data sets instead of the physics. The fundamental task of CFD is to provide an accurate approximation of derivatives for a given discrete data se...
