We show results from both quen hed and dynami al quark simulations and ompare with results from Wilson quarks at heavier quark masses. The results on latti es with three avors of dynami al quarks show e e ts of sea quarks on the hybrid propagators whi h probably result from oupling to two meson states. Extrapolation of the quen hed results to the physi al quark mass allows omparison with experimental andidates for the 1 + hybrid meson. The latti e result remains heavier than the experimental result, although it is possibly onsistent with the 1(1600). PACS numbers:

Exotic hybrid mesons from improved Kogut-Susskind fermions
Experimental evidence suggests the existence of particles with “exotic” quantum numbers J = 1−+, such as the π1(1400) [1] and the π1(1600) [2]. Explanations of these include fourquark states and hybrid mesons — mesons with gluonic excitations. Several lattice studies [3–5] have used quenched Wilson and improved Wilson fermions to explore the possibility of such hybrid states. Using both quenche...

We report on a lattice determination of the mass of the exotic 1 hybrid meson using an improved Kogut-Susskind action. Results from both quenched and dynamical quark simulations are presented. We also compare with earlier results using Wilson quarks at heavier quark masses. The results on lattices with three flavors of dynamical quarks show effects of sea quarks on the hybrid propagators which ...
متن کاملKramers Equation Algorithm with Kogut-Susskind Fermions on Lattice
We compare the performance of the Kramers Equation Monte Carlo (KMC) Algorithm with that of the Hybrid Monte Carlo (HMC) algorithm for numerical simulations with dynamical Kogut-Susskind fermions. Using the lattice Gross-Neveu model in 2 space-time dimensions, we calculate the integrated autocorrelation time of different observables at a number of couplings in the scaling region on 162 and 322 ...
متن کاملNegative-energy Spinors and the Fock Space of Lattice Fermions at Finite Chemical Potential (revised)
Recently it was suggested that the problem of species doubling with Kogut-Susskind lattice fermions entails, at finite chemical potential, a confusion of particles with an-tiparticles. What happens instead is that the familiar correspondence of positive-energy spinors to particles, and of negative-energy spinors to antiparticles, ceases to hold for the Kogut-Susskind time derivative. To show th...
متن کاملAn Exact Algorithm for Any-flavor Lattice QCD with Kogut-Susskind Fermion
We propose an exact simulation algorithm for lattice QCD with dynamical KogutSusskind fermion in which the Nf -flavor fermion operator is defined as the Nf/4-th root of the Kogut-Susskind (KS) fermion operator. The algorithm is an extension of the Polynomial Hybrid Monte Carlo (PHMC) algorithm to KS fermions. The fractional power of the KS fermion operator is approximated with a Hermitian Cheby...
