چکیده

1.0 Introduction For active noise control (ANC) systems, a common approach is to use adaptive FIR filters trained with the filtered-x LMS algorithm [1], for both feedforward systems and Internal Model Control (IMC) feedback systems, in monochannel or multichannel systems. Variations of the algorithm sometimes called the modified filtered-x LMS algorithm have been published [2], which can achieve a faster convergence speed by using a larger step size in the algorithm. Fast exact realizations of the filtered-x LMS and the modified filtered-x LMS algorithms have also been published [2]. In most cases, these fast realizations can reduce the computational complexity of the filtered-x LMS and modified filtered-x LMS algorithms for multichannel systems.

Inverse structure for active noise control and combined active noise control/sound reproduction systems

In this paper, a simple inverse structure for multichannel active noise control (ANC) is introduced, based on the use of noncausal models of the (pseudo-)inverse plant between the error sensors (typically microphones in ANC systems) and the actuators (typically loudspeakers). This structure, combined with adaptive FIR filters and filtered-x LMS-based algorithms, can produce both a reduction of ...

Recursive least-squares algorithms with improved numerical stability and constrained least-squares algorithms for multichannel active noise control systems

1.0 Introduction This paper deals with the convergence of adaptive FIR filters used for multichannel active noise control (ANC) systems [1]. In a recent paper [2], recursive least-squares (RLS) algorithms and fast-transversal-filter (FTF) algorithms were introduced for multichannel ANC. It was reported that these algorithms can greatly improve the convergence speed of ANC systems, compared to a...

Multidimensional Multichannel FIR Deconvolution Using GrÖbner Bases

We present a new method for general multidimensional multichannel deconvolution with finite impulse response (FIR) convolution and deconvolution filters using Gröbner bases. Previous work formulates the problem of multichannel FIR deconvolution as the construction of a left inverse of the convolution matrix, which is solved by numerical linear algebra. However, this approach requires the prior ...

Filtered-X Affine Projection Algorithms for Active Noise Control Using Volterra Filters

We consider the use of adaptive Volterra filters, implemented in the form of multichannel filter banks, as nonlinear active noise controllers. In particular, we discuss the derivation of filtered-X affine projection algorithms for homogeneous quadratic filters. According to the multichannel approach, it is then easy to pass from these algorithms to those of a generic Volterra filter. It is show...

Filtered-x Affine Projection Algorithms for a Class of Nonlinear Multichannel Active Noise Controllers

The paper extends the use of multichannel filtered-x affine projection algorithms suitable for feed-forward active noise control to a broad class of nonlinear filter structures, which comprises also Volterra filters and Functional Link Artificial Neural Networks (FLANN). An analysis of the transient and steady-state behavior of the resulting algorithms is provided. Some experimental results tha...
