Interaction Effects of Insecticides on Microbial Populations and Dehydrogenase Activity in Groundnut (Arachis hypogeae l.) Planted Black Clay Soil

چکیده
Study of the effect of pesticides on soil micro flora and their beneficial activities forms an important part of the pesticides risk assessment . The intensive use of these pesticides in agricultural soils, there may be an interaction with soil micro flora and their metabolic activities besides, controlling the different pest population (Baxter and Cummings, 2008). Therefore the behavior of the total micro flora and their biological activities under continuing pesticide input is an important aspect of research of the agricultural ecology (Li et al., 2008). Soil microbes are the driving force behind many soil processes, including the transformation of organic matter, nutrient release and degradation of xenobiotics (Zabaloy et al., 2008). Actinomycetes and fungi are important microbes for the degradation and utilization of a wide range of complex organic molecules (Lacey, 1983; Watson and Williams, 1974). Bacteria account for almost half of the soil microbial biomass (Alexander, 1997) and are responsible for further degradation. Impact of Fungicides Chlorothalonil and Propiconazole on Microbial Activities in Groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) Soils
Introduction of agrochemicals (fungicides) into soil may have lasting effects on soil microbial activities and thus affect soil health. In order to determine the changes in microbial activity in a black clay and red sandy loam soils of groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) cultivated fields, a case study was conducted with propiconazole and chlorothalonil to evaluate its effects on soil enzymes (cell...

A laboratory experiment has been conducted to investigate the ecological toxicity of flubendiamide and spinosad at their recommended field rates and higher rates (1.0, 2.5, 5.0, 7.5, 10.0 kg ha-1) on cellulase, invertase and amylase in black and red clay soils after 10, 20, 30 and 40-day exposure under controlled conditions in groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) soils of Anantapur District, Andhra ...
متن کاملInfluence of Insecticides Thiodicarb and Dimethoate on Soil Microbial Activities (Phosphatase) in two Groundnut
In Agricultural practices pesticides are used for crop production and to produce high yield. But indiscriminate and excessive use of pesticides in agriculture leads to environmental pollution and in soil it is not degrading. A pesticide disturbs the activities of soil enzymes and soil micro biota. So we investigated in laboratory conditions that the effect of two insecticides, Thiodicarb (Dimet...

The efficacy of two selected fungicides i.e., tebuconazole and coppoer hydroxide, was conducted experiments in laboratory and copper hydroxide on the two specific enzymes phosphatase and urease were determined in two different soil samples (red sandy loam and black clay soils) of groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) from cultivated fields of Anantapuramu District, Andhra Pradesh. The activities of t...

Flavonoids secreted by legumes play a major role as signal molecules for attracting compatible rhizobia. The aim of this study was to assess and understand the diversity of microsymbionts nodulating Bambara groundnut (Vigna subterranea L. Verdc.) landraces of different seedcoat colours using restriction fragment length polymorphism and phylogenetic analysis. Seedcoat pigmentation of landraces h...
