چکیده

We present in this article a differential-geometric approach to the problem of fault detection and isolation for nonlinear systems. A necessary condition for the problem to be solvable is derived in terms of an unobservability distribution, which is computable by means of suitable algorithms. The existence and regularity of such a distribution implies the existence of changes of coordinates in the state and in the output space which induce an “observable” quotient subsystem unaffected by all fault signals but one. For this subsystem a fault detection filter is designed.

Sufficient Conditions to Fault Isolation in Nonlinear Systems: a Geometric Approach

In this paper, a di erential geometric approach to solv e the problem of fault detection and isolation in nonlinear systems is presented. New conditions giving a solution for fault isolation problem are proposed. These conditions are less restrictive than previous work and are based on the analysis of the solution of the fundamental problem of residual generation given by De Persis and Isidori....

Design of nonlinear parity approach to fault detection and identification based on Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model and unknown input observer in nonlinear systems

In this study, a novel fault detection scheme is developed for a class of nonlinear system in the presence of sensor noise. A nonlinear Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model is implemented to create multiple models. While the T-S fuzzy model is used for only the nonlinear distribution matrix of the fault and measurement signals, a larger category of nonlinear systems is considered. Next, a mapping to decou...

Avionic Air Data Sensors Fault Detection and Isolation by means of Singular Perturbation and Geometric Approach

Singular Perturbations represent an advantageous theory to deal with systems characterized by a two-time scale separation, such as the longitudinal dynamics of aircraft which are called phugoid and short period. In this work, the combination of the NonLinear Geometric Approach and the Singular Perturbations leads to an innovative Fault Detection and Isolation system dedicated to the isolation o...

Robust Model- Based Fault Detection and Isolation for V47/660kW Wind Turbine

In this paper, in order to increase the efficiency, to reduce the cost and to prevent the failures of wind turbines, which lead to an extensive break down, a robust fault diagnosis system is proposed for V47/660kW wind turbine operated in Manjil wind farm, Gilan province, Iran. According to the acquired data from Iran wind turbine industry, common faults of the wind turbine such as sensor fault...
