Mean Field Theory Applied to the High - T c Superconductivity

چکیده
We propose an effective transverse Ising model (TIM) as a means to treat both metallic and hightemperature superconductivity. The model is inspired by features which are present in the GorterCasimir two-fluid model of superconductivity, but it encompasses also the formalism used to treat the phase transitions in hydrogen-bonded ferroelectrics. We treat the model in the random-phase approximation, and as a consequence, the superconducting state reveals a structure of a gas of elementary excitations where the energy gap appears in a quite natural way.

Resonating valence bond states in a doped Mott insulator was proposed to explain superconductivity in cuprates in January 1987 by Anderson. A challenging task then was proving existence of this unconventional mechanism and a wealth of possibilities, with a rigor acceptable in standard condensed matter physics, in a microscopic theory and develop suitable many body techniques. Shortly, a paper...

High-T c superconductivity through a charge pairing mechanism in a strongly coupled disordered phase. Abstract We present a lattice field theory of spins coupled to Dirac fermions, as a model for the doped copper oxide compounds. Both the fermionic and spin degrees of freedom are treated dynamically. The influence of the charge carriers on the magnetic ordering follows automatically. The magnet...

The First National Conference on Advances in Superconductivity was the first of a series of conferences in the field of superconductivity planned to be held biannually in one of the universities or scientific research centers in the country. The goal of these meetings is to bring together groups of researchers in the field of experimental and theoretical superconductivity, to discuss their la...
متن کاملMean-field pairing theory for the charge-stripe phase of high-temperature cuprate superconductors.
Striped high-T(c) superconductors such as La(2-y-x)Nd(y)Sr(x)CuO(4) and La(2-x)Ba(x)CuO(4) near x = 1/8 show a fascinating competition between spin and charge order and superconductivity. A theory for these systems therefore has to capture both the spin correlations of an antiferromagnet and the pair correlations of a superconductor. For this purpose we present here an effective Hartree-Fock th...

A dynamical mean-field theory approach to superconductivity and antiferromagnetism in a strongly correlated electron system. Abstract In this paper, we present the results of numerical studies of superconduc-tivity and antiferromagnetism in a strongly correlated electron system. To do this we construct a Hubbard model on a lattice of self-consistently embedded multi-site clusters (in practice t...
