Agarwal 5 An automated flight test management system (ATMS) and its use to develop a rapid-prototyping flight research facility for artificial intelligence-based flight systems concepts are described. The ATMS provides a flight test engineer with a set of tools that assist in flight planning and simulation. This system will be capable of controlling an aircraft during flight test by performing closed-loop guidance functions, range management, and maneuver-quality monitoring. The rapid-prototyping flight research facility is being developed at the Dryden Flight Research Facility of the NASA AmResearch Center (Ames-Dryden) to provide early flight assessment of emerging artificial intelligence (AI) technology. The facility is being developed as one element of the aircraft automation program which focuses on the qualification and validation of embedded real-time AI-based systems.

Rapid prototyping flight test environment for autonomous unmanned aerial vehicles
Test facility is essential for most of engineering research activities, from modeling and identification to verification of algorithms/methods and final demonstration. It is well known that flight tests for aerospace vehicles are expensive and quite risky. To overcome this, this paper describes a rapid prototyping platform for autonomous unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) developed at Loughborough ...

Objective: Over recent years, due to scientific advances in various aspects of sport, rapid development and improvement has taken place in sport performance standards as well as athletes' performance. In the swimming tournaments, on-time and correct start, plays an important role in the success of swimmers, especially speed swimmers. The aim of this study was comparising selected kinematic vari...
متن کاملEffects of Flight Dynamics on Performance of One Axis Gimbal System, Considering Disturbance Torques
The gimbal stabilization mechanism system is used to provide the stability to an object mounted on the gimbal by isolating it from the base angular motion and vibration. In this paper the model of one axis gimbal system with dynamics flying object is introduced. The gimbal torque relationships are obtained using Newton’s second law equation on the assumption that gimbal is rigid body. The syste...
