Convergence of ART in Few Projections

چکیده
Algebraic Reconstruction Technique (ART) is an iterative algorithm to obtain reconstruction from projections in a finite number of iterations. The present paper discuses the convergence achieved in small number of iteration even when projection data is available in only four directions. A Fast Algorithm for Total Variation Image Reconstruction from Random Projections
Total variation (TV) regularization is popular in image restoration and reconstruction due to its ability to preserve image edges. To date, most research activities on TV models concentrate on image restoration from blurry and noisy observations, while discussions on image reconstruction from random projections are relatively fewer. In this paper, we propose, analyze, and test a fast alternatin...
متن کاملParallel ART for image reconstruction in CT using processor arrays
Algebraic Reconstruction Technique (ART) is a widely-used iterative method for solving sparse systems of linear equations. This method (originally due to Kaczmarz) is inherently sequential according to its mathematical definition since, at each step, the current iterate is projected toward one of the hyperplanes defined by the equations. The main advantages of ART are its robustness, its cyclic...
متن کاملLevel of Grammatical Proficiency and Acquisition of Functional Projections: The case of Iranian learners of English language
Unlike Lexical Projections, Functional Projections (Extended Projections) are more of an ‘abstract’ in nature. Therefore, Functional Projections seem to be acquired later than Lexical Projections by the L2 learners. The present study investigates Iranian L2 learners’ acquisition of English Extended Projections taking into account their level of grammatical proficiency. Specifically, the aim is ...
متن کاملProvide a Model for Shaping the Subject in Comparative Studies and Research in the Field of Art With Emphasis on Interdisciplinary Studies
Consideration of comparative research as a "separate and different research process" is an issue that has not been addressed thoroughly, at least in Iran, and few of the research conducted under the title of "comparative" refer to studies conducted using different methods than the usual research methods. On the other hand, there has been a rise in the importance of interaction between different...
متن کاملART for helical cone-beam CT reconstruction
We report on our first results on the use of Algebraic Reconstruction Techniques (ART) on helical cone-beam Computerized Tomography (CT) data. Two variants of ART have been implemented: a standard one which considers a single ray in an iterative step and a block version which groups several conebeam projections in calculating an iterative update. Both seem to produce high-quality reconstruction...
