HORUS: Object Orientation and Id without Additional Markers
نویسنده
چکیده
This paper describes a novel approach to detecting orientation and identity of robots using a global vision system. Instead of additional markers, the original shape of the robot is used to determine an orientation using a general Hough transform. In addition the movement history as well as the command history are used to calculate the quadrant of the orientation as well as the identity of the robot. An empirical evaluation shows that the performance of the new video server is at least as good as that of a traditional approach using additional coloured markers. 1 Center for Imaging Technology and Robotics, University of Auckland Horus: Object Orientation and Id without

Application of moiré patterns to AR markers for high-accuracy pose estimation
AR markers are useful tool for easy recognition of pose and ID of target objects. However, they have poor accuracy in the orientation estimation, especially in the frontal direction. We solved the problem by a novel principle using variable moiré patterns. We developed two new AR markers which utilize moiré patterns of which the darkest part seems to move according to the visual-line angle of t...
متن کاملProtocol Composition in Horus
Horus is a communication architecture that treats a protocol as an abstract data type. Protocol layers can be stacked on top of each other in a variety of ways, at run-time. This paper starts out with describing the many classes of protocols that can be supported this way. Next, we describe the Horus object model that we designed for this technology, and the interface between the layers that ma...
متن کاملPose Estimation of Construction Materials Using Multiple Id Devices for Construction Automation
This paper describes a method of pose (position and orientation) of large object such as construction materials using multiple ID devices for construction automation. Object pose is crucial issue for construction automation, however, the pose can change by the robots and workers that do not have ID reader or measure the object pose. The proposed method supposes the position and direction of eac...

In the research area of image and video processing, the Horus library [5] has become a valuable system for software driven rapid prototyping, and an essential vehicle for knowledge transfer at the level of universities and expertise centers. Due to its strictly sequential implementation, however, Horus can not always satisfy all demands for high performance. As computational requirements for th...

Individuals with intellectual disability (ID) are at risk for additional autism spectrum disorders (ASD). A large amount of research reveals deficits in emotion-related processes that are relevant to social cognition in ASD. However, studies on the structure and level of emotional development (ED) assessing emotional maturity according to the normative trajectory in typically developing childre...
