Size-Dependent Large Amplitude Vibration Analysis of Nanoshells Using the Gurtin-Murdoch Model
Shell-type nanostructures have recently attracted a lot of attention due to their several applications. The surface stress effect plays an important role in the mechanical behavior of such structures because of their large surface-to-volume ratio. In this paper, an analytical approach is presented for analyzing the geometrically nonlinear free vibrations of cylindrical nanoshells. In order ...
متن کاملThe effect of temperature on optical absorption cross section of bimetallic core-shell nano particles
In this paper, the temperature dependence on optical absorption cross section of the core shell bimetallic nanoparticles (NPs) is investigated in quasi static approximation. Temperature dependence of the plasmon resonance is important issue because of recent applications of NPs of noble metal for heat treating of cancer and the computer chips. The effect of temperature on surface plasmon resona...

Geometrical structure, nuclear magnetic resonance (N1,1It) chemical shielding tensors, and chemical shiftsof silicon and carbon nucler are investigated for twn infinite size zigzag and armchair single-walled siliconcarbide nanotabes (SiCNTs). Geometrical structures of SieNTs, Sit bonds and bond angles of St and Cvertices in both zigzag and armchair nanotubes, Indicate that bond lengths are appr...
متن کاملCritical-state effects on microwave losses in type-II superconductors
We discuss the microwave energy losses in superconductors in the critical state. The field-induced variations of the surface resistance are determined, in the framework of the Coffey and Clem model, by taking into account the distribution of the vortex magnetic field inside the sample. It is shown that the effects of the critical state cannot generally be disregarded to account for the experime...
متن کاملInteraction-induced singular Fermi surface in a high-temperature oxypnictide superconductor
In the family of iron-based superconductors, LaFeAsO-type materials possess the simplest electronic structure due to their pronounced two-dimensionality. And yet they host superconductivity with the highest transition temperature Tc ≈ 55K. Early theoretical predictions of their electronic structure revealed multiple large circular portions of the Fermi surface with a very good geometrical overl...
