چکیده

Several topics in projects for mechatronics studies, which are ʹHuman Adaptive Mechatronics (HAM)ʹ and ʹHuman‐System Modelling (HSM)ʹ, are presented in this paper. The main research theme of the HAM project is a design strategy for a new intelligent mechatronics system, which enhances operatorsʹ skills during machine operation. Skill analyses and control system design have been addressed. In the HSM project, human modelling based on hierarchical classification of skills was studied, including the following five types of skills: social, planning, cognitive, motion and sensory‐motor skills. This paper includes digests of these research topics and the outcomes concerning each type of skill. Relationships with other research activities, knowledge and information that will be helpful for readers who are trying to study assistive human‐mechatronics systems are also mentioned.

Overview of Human Adaptive Mechatronics

Human adaptive mechatronics is intelligent electrical-mechanical systems that are able to adapt themselves to the human’s skill in various environments, and provide assistance in improving the skill, and overall operation of the combined human machine system to achieve improved performance. It is clear that humans have strong and extremely adaptive natural mechanisms that are able to accommodat...

Design and Simulation of Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference Based Controller for Chaotic Lorenz System

Chaos is a nonlinear behavior that shows chaotic and irregular responses to internal and external stimuli in dynamic systems. This behavior usually appears in systems that are highly sensitive to initial condition. In these systems, stabilization is a highly considerable tool for eliminating aberrant behaviors. In this paper, the problem of stabilization and tracking the chaos are investigated....

Skill Evaluation in Human Adaptive Mechatronics. Bimanual Operation with X-y Stages

In this paper, some HAM (Human Adaptive Mechatronics) research results on operator skill evaluation, operation assistance, identification of operator's dynamics, skill acquisition, and coupling phenomenon in bimanual operation are presented at first. Then the bimanual operation is discussed in detail. The phenomenon of spatial coupling between two different tasks performed by two hands respecti...

Modelling of Embedded Mechatronic Systems Using Hybrid Petri Nets

The paper describes the challenges of modelling hybrid embedded systems. It discusses the problems of modelling such systems and suggests the use of hybrid Petri nets. The potential of hybrid Petri nets is shown by modelling an exemplary embedded mechatronic system with a special hybrid Petri net class using a special modelling tool.
