A Flexible Middleware Platform with Piped Workflow

چکیده

Middleware emerges as an excellent solution for the complicated distributed computing application. But as the appearance of new devices and new applications, the inflexibility of traditional middleware system becomes more serious and urgent. In this paper we propose a new flexible middleware platform which adopts the technologies of piped workflow and computational modules to provide a modular and extensible platform for future applications. The piped workflow provides a very flexible mechanism to organize all computational modules working together. During the running time, all computational modules communicate only with data channel of the piped workflow through which they can keep extremely independent, and the flexible flow control strategy makes the application programmer convenient to arrange all functional components for variable customer requirements.
