Regional Coronary Anatomy in Rest Angina*

چکیده
To determine If patients with rest angina have more severe regional Isehemla than padents with exertlonal aiigln., we compared the severity of left coronary artery (LCA) stenods In 29 patIents with transient anterior chemIc S’ -T changes at rest, and 30 patIents with anterior ST changes only during exertion. The percentage diameter stenosis w measured with Vernier calIpers (2 X lesion diameter X 100 percent)/(prestenotic + poslstenodc diameter). There w no difference between the two groups In the mean diameter stenods of unoecluded LCA vessels either when all vemels were compared (rest 69 ± 12 percent czartional: 70 ± 13 percent [p=NSD or when only the stenosis In each patient was compared (res#{252}

Regional myocardial perfusion in patients with atherosclerotic coronary artery disease, at rest and during angina pectoris induced by tachycardia.
We studied regional myocardial perfusion by scintigraphic computer-assisted analysis of initial distribution, washout rates, and residual activity of 133Xe injected into the left coronary artery of four patients with normal arteriograms and 14 patients with coronary stenosis. At rest, residual activity in poststenotic regions was always greater than in control regions, but initial washout rates...
متن کامل[Clinical usefulness of delayed exercise images on 99mTc-Tetrofosmin myocardial SPECT in the diagnosis of vasospastic angina pectoris].
This study was designed to evaluate the clinical usefulness of delayed exercise images in 99mTc-tetrofosmin (TF) myocardial SPECT in the diagnosis of vasospastic angina pectoris. We studied 30 patients with vasospastic angina, 10 of 30 patients (group A) had both effort and rest angina, 20 of 30 patients (group B) had rest angina. A 370 MBq of TF was intravenously injected at peak exercise, and...
متن کاملComparison between Revascularization and Optimal Medical Therapy in Patients with Stable Angina Pectoris
Background and Purpose: Regarding usefulness of revascularization versus optimal medical therapy in patients with stable angina pectoris, data are challenging. The aim of this 12-month follow-up study was to compare the survival benefit associated with revascularization versus optimal medical therapy on the patients with stable angina pectoris. Materials and Methods: A prospective clinical s...
متن کاملEffects of coronary artery bypass grafting on left ventricular function assessed by multiple gated ventricular scintigraphy.
The effect of coronary artery bypass grafting on global left ventricular ejection fraction and regional contraction was studied in 56 consecutive patients with chronic stable angina pectoris by means of multiple gated ventricular scintigraphy at rest and during dynamic supine exercise before and six weeks after myocardial revascularisation. Before operation, exercise induced a significant fall ...
متن کاملPatterns of disturbed myocardial perfusion in patients with coronary artery disease. Regional myocardial perfusion in angina pectoris.
Fifty patients who presented with angina pectoris were studied to examine the disturbances of regional myocardial perfusion during stress. Each patient underwent 16-point precordial mapping of the ECG during an exercise test, and coronary and left ventricular angiography. Regional myocardial perfusion was assessed using an atrial pacing test and a short-lived radionuclide, krypton-81m. Eleven p...
