A Compact Lossless Integrated 16×16 QW SOA Switch

A monolithically integrated 16×16 Quantum Well Semiconductor Optical Amplifier switch is demonstrated. The switch has a 2dB facet-to-facet gain, a mean power penalty of 3dB and worst path power penalty < 5.5dB operating at 10Gb/s. Keywords-SOA;Optical switch
